About
The spa has eight spacious treatment rooms that are artfully decorated incontemporary Asian motifs. Candle light and the natural sounds of wind, water and the woods soothe the senses. We provide Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Aromatherapy, Sports and Warm Stone massage. Mud wraps, body treatments, waxing and customized spa facials are also available.
The Urban Muse is proud to offer a full range of holistic services as well, including Reiki, Angel Readings, Nutritional/Life Coaching and Intuitive Counseling. Due to the specialized nature of these therapies, we ask you to please call the spa in advance to schedule an appointment.

Susan King - Intuitive Counselor
Susan King has worked all over the world from bases in London and Miami, and frequent visits to her clientele in NYC and LA.
Susan has been a columnist for Elle and Marie Claire, as well as a TV host and regular guest on numerous programs around the globe from Monaco to Japan.
Susan has learned that by allowing one’s self to be guided by power greater than ourselves, there are no limits and nothing that we cannot overcome. She brings new ways of seeing in her intuitive counseling sessions to help you move forward with fresh perspective, and the possibility making better life choices.
With visual creativity Susan provides guidance and clarity, calling on over 25 years experience and some of the most amazing intuition you will ever encounter.
June Crane – Intuitive Consultant
June is a professional astrologer, intuitive consultant and teacher with over 25 years experience. Specializing in personal, electional and relocation astrology, she is a certified Astro*Carto*Graphy interpreter and Level III NCGR-PAA.
In addition to her private consultations, she travels and lectures nationally on Astrology, the Tarot and Creating Sacred Space.
June is a popular speaker at both Astrology and Feng Shui conferences & local organizations around the country. Her compassion and advice have earned her the trust and confidence of a national clientele.
Andrew Slootmaker DC
Dr. Drew lives in Rockaway Twp, and has always lived in New Jersey. He attended Bloomfield College for pre-chiropractic studies and received a B.S. in Biology. For his post-graduate studies, Dr. Drew attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, graduating in 2002. Ever the student and eager to know more, he is currently pursuing a Doctor of Naturopathy, Certificate in Nutritional Counseling, Master Herbalist, and Master Iridologist degrees through Trinity School of Natural Health. Dr. Drew has been in private practice for 6 years.
Shelagh is the Founder & Director of Corwellness, an integrated wellness practice at The Urban Muse.
Shelagh has a BS in Nursing from Villanova University and is certified as a Holistic Health Counselor from The Institute of Integrated Nutrition, an affiliate of Columbia University, in Manhattan, and certified as a Nutraceuticals Health Practitioner as well.
Carla Forsyth
Carla Forsyth has engaged in many years of study while searching for the work she knew she was here to do. Carla's journey has included exploration in areas of shamanism, mysticism, sacred geometry, spirituality, metaphysics, energy medicine, crystals, vibrational and color healing, and many other esoteric fields. Over the years Carla has been a practitioner, at The Urban Muse, of several healing modalities including Reiki and Pranic Healing.
Carla's purpose is to assist people in remembering how to be self healers and achieve self mastery, thereby guiding them through the ascension process that we are all in the midst of now. She wants to share the blessing of Transference Healing® with all those who resonate with this profound, loving energy. For this reason Carla has stepped into the role of teacher of the Transference HealingR fundamentals, as well as practitioner of Transference HealingR. Moving forward, she has a calling to enter the 7th Golden Age Mystery School lead by Alexis Cartwright.

We create an inviting atmosphere filled with candles and music to take the stress out of planning special celebrations. We can also provide catered meals. FAQ's
SCHEDULING Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled treatment. If this is your first appointment, or you wish to take a shower beforehand, please arrive 30 minutes early. This enables us to create a personalized environment, filled with your choice of scents and sounds that will enhance you spa experience.
THERAPIST PREFERENCE If you have a specific therapist in mind or gender preference, please let us know at the time of booking
PRIVACY Our treatment rooms are designed for privacy and comfort. We use natural materials and follow the principles of feng shui to achieve a tranquil space that supports your well-being.
COURTESY It is in your own best interest to arrive early. Arriving late will cheat you of valuable minutes of your spa services. Remember, your service will end on time as scheduled, so that the next client isn't delayed, regardless of how late you begin. Our spa environment is one of relaxation and peace. Please respect other guests' right to privacy and quiet. Mute all electronic equipment like cell phones and pagers.
DRESS We provide cotton robes, slippers, eye pillows and disposable undergarments for your convenience.
CUSTOMER SATISFACTION If you are not satisfied with your spa services, please let us know within 48 hours. We will make every effort to accommodate you and ensure your satisfaction
VALUABLES Personal belongings can be stored in a basket that will remain in the privacy of your treatment room. However, The Urban Muse is not responsible for any valuables.
CHILDREN For legal reasons and insurance purposes, children are not permitted in the spa area.
REFRESHMENTS We are pleased to offer complimentary beverages, including bottled water, fruit juices and Japanese herbal teas, as well as an assortment of snacks.
SHOWER If you wish to shower before or after your spa treatments, we have towels, complimentary bath products and hair dryers available.
GRATUITIES While tipping is optional, it is customary to give your service provider a 15 to 20 percent gratuity if you are pleased with the treatments you receive.
PREGNANCY Please let us know if you are or may be pregnant before the start of your scheduled treatments.
DISCLOSURE You have the right to know which products are used in our spa services. We will prepare a printed list of these products for your reference.
CANCELLATION POLICY We require 24 hours notice for the cancellation of all appointments. The Urban Muse reserves the right to charge a 50 percent fee for services cancelled without notice. Prices are subject to change.
